Mount Carmel East
For 118 years, Mount Carmel has been providing world-class health care with
compassion, acceptance, respect and empathy. In that time, it has grown into one
of the largest health care providers in central Ohio, offering patient care in
three impressive and respected hospitals, one of which, Mount Carmel East, is in
Reynoldsburg’s back yard at 6001 East Broad Street. Mount Carmel also serves
patients through surgery centers, outpatient facilities, physicians' offices,
community outreach sites and homes throughout central Ohio.
Located just west of Reynoldsburg at the intersection of East Broad Street and
I-270, Mount Carmel East just opened a brand new heart center and expanded
maternity center in 2003. Mount Carmel East also has been recognized for
expertise in neuroscience and orthopedics as well as cancer care.

Children’s Hospital
Founded in 1892, Children's Hospital, Inc. has developed into one of the largest
and most sophisticated health care centers in the country, having more than
300,000 patient visits annually. Children's delivers high quality,
cost-effective care to all children, from newborns through age 21, regardless of
patients' ability to pay.
A Medical Staff of more than 700 practitioners assures the provision of
comprehensive preventative, diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative health
care services. Children's also has more than 3,600 employees. Services are
provided on the main campus as well as multiple off-site locations for primary
care, laboratory, various therapies, radiology, and mental health services.
Some of the other special services include emergency transport; liver, kidney,
and bone marrow transplantation; high frequency ventilation and ECMO; nationally
recognized child abuse program; and the multidisciplinary Children's Hospice.
Board-certified pediatric radiologists are available in-house, 24 hours/day,
seven days/week. Facilities and services include plain radiography, fluoroscopy,
ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine,
angiography, and interventional radiology. The Nuclear Medicine section offers
comprehensive Nuclear Medicine imaging and Iodine-131 treatment services.
Radiation oncology services are available through the staff and facilities of
The Ohio State University Medical Center.
Children's Hospital is certified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level
I Trauma Center, the first pediatric provider in Ohio. Children's has one of the
busiest pediatric emergency departments in the country, with more than 70,000
visits annually.
Wesley Ridge Retirement Community
Wesley Ridge Retirement Community, 2225 State Route 256, offers seniors a
Continuum of Care including independent living homes and apartments, Assisted
Living, dementia-care, nursing services and adult day care.
The campus features 16 independent living condominium-style Ridge Homes with one
or two-bedroom floor plans, fully equipped kitchens, living and dining areas,
ample storage space, attached garages and individual patio or optional Florida
rooms.
Coming soon to the campus is the Parkside Independent Living apartment community
overlooking the Blacklick Woods MetroPark and Golf Course. The complex will
feature 86 one and two-bedroom luxury apartments for active and independent
seniors. Parkside will boast a formal and private dining room, fitness center,
Columbus room lounge, outdoor terrace, Bistro & coffee shop, bank, postal
center, salon, library, activity rooms and more.
The Bishop Place building houses Independent Living Plus apartments for active
seniors who may need some minor assistance, but not the full healthcare offered
in Assisted Living. Residents can also receive 4-levels of Assisted Living in
Bishop Place. Assisted Living offers help with activities of daily living, such
as bathing, dressing, or taking medication.
The Special Care program helps those with Alzheimer's Disease and other
dementias retain as much independence and cognitive ability as possible. Care is
provided in Special Care with the utmost attention to safety and medical needs,
as well as emotional, psychological, and social needs.
Finally, Life Center provides adult day services where seniors and adults with
disabilities receive individualized plans of daytime care with therapeutic
activities and socialization. Life Center is located at Wesley Ridge, New
Albany, Reynoldsburg and Pickerington.
