Persons over 60 may apply for a free Golden Buckeye Card, issued by the State of Ohio. This card entitles seniors to discounts at participating merchants, restaurants, etc., anywhere the emblem is displayed. Discounts run from a free beverage with meal to 10% to 25% off the purchase. Application blanks may be obtained at area financial institutions and the Senior Center. Your card arrives via mail within a few weeks after application.
Some local restaurants and merchants feature Senior Specials, or have regular Senior Days. Inquire on the spot.
