The right ingredients of food, local business exhibits and live entertainment are coming together to make the 11th Annual Taste of Reynoldsburg another fun filled evening! Admission is free for this Reynoldsburg community event being held at Taylor Road Elementary on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.

   The Taste has become one of the most highly anticipated community and family events in the “Burg” and surrounding areas. Last year over 5,000 people enjoyed the variety of food and exhibits along with activities for the entire family.

   The Taste is celebrated outside on the school grounds. Restaurants from the area set up booth space where they sell their food specialties from $1 to $3.  Local businesses are also invited to exhibit their wares to the public.  Last year, over 20 restaurants participated in serving a variety of foods including desserts, with 45 business participating.

   Entertainment is available for all ages with face painting, hay rides, exhibits by the West Licking Fire Department and music by Eric Solomon, Special guests include the Tomato Festival Queen candidates, McGruff the Crime Dog, Hometown Bee, Dipper the Custard Cone and Rocky Raider.

   ”By offering great food, children’s activities and live entertainment, we have an event the whole family can enjoy,” said Linda Smith, Taste of Reynoldsburg Committee Chair.  “Bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs and make an evening of it!”
